Volunteer Services Journey Around the World

12 Jul, 2019

"I hope my life will not only be for my own good but also to have an impact on people surrounding me."

Our student Lee Tin Sum from the School of Journalism and Communication travelled to 12 countries alone last summer and participated in different volunteer services. She joined a charity visit to children in rural areas of Yunnan, China, helped to be a voluntary scavenger at a music festival in Denmark, moved wood in an environmental protection campaign in Hungary and took part in other volunteer services in four and a half months. She received the ‘2018 Outstanding Students Awards – Social Service (for the Community)’ for her commitment to the world.

You are cordially invited to apply for the 2019 Outstanding Students Awards through self-nomination. The deadline of self-nomination will be 15 July. Please apply online now if you have notable achievements and made significant contributions which have had a continual and positive impact in the areas of Innovation and Invention, Sports, Arts, Social Service or Special Achievement: bit.ly/2S8F5eK
